Recently I inherited my mom’s stove after my stovetop died. I never had a glass cooktop so I didn’t realize that a rag and some dish soap just wasn’t going to cut it. So, I began to search for a DIY way to clean my cooktop. I found my answer at Happy Mama Tales.
Britni at Happy Mama Tales breaks down the steps for cleaning your glass cooktop here. From my experience, this cleaner works great! The first time I tried it, I had made homemade hot fudge and burnt some on the burner. I scrubbed at it for a week before I found this cleaner that helped me fall back in love with my new stove.
Here is a recent before picture of my very dirty cooktop:
Gross right? So I poured on some Dawn dish soap.
Sprinkled on some baking soda.
And added some hydrogen peroxide.
This is the part I like most about this cleaner. It could also be used as a great way to clean something and get kids involved. Your cooktop can get cleaned, your kiddo can practice some math or spelling and maybe you can even get a load of dishes into the dishwasher!
